New Delhi: Pneumonia is a completely treatable disease that affects the lungs and has 4 stages. The lungs are made up of multiple elastic air sacs, and pneumonia is an infectious lung disease where these air sacs are inflamed, resulting in reduced functionality. Pneumonia can be caused by bacteria, viruses or fungi. The infection causes inflammation of the pulmonary alveoli and their filling with fluid or pus. This can make it difficult for the oxygen you breathe to enter your bloodstream.
To completely treat pneumonia, you can take the help of Ayurveda. Ayurveda, with its extensive use of herbs and natural herbal remedies, treats pneumonia from its root. Alternatively, yoga can also prove to be very beneficial for your healing and recovery.

Practicing yoga can be one of the best ways to keep your lungs and body healthy. Daily yoga practice can help strengthen chest muscles, increase lung capacity, and increase oxygen supply. Yoga can help keep your lungs healthy and strong, thereby improving your breathing and oxygen intake. Take your time with each pose and try to hold for 15-20 seconds and repeat these 2-3 sets or as many as you feel comfortable doing.
